We did our kitchen renovation with Paula & Marius and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to redo their kitchen!
Design:
The design piece was honestly the biggest selling point for us. If you’re like a lot of us in Seattle who bought a century-old house with spaces that make you question what the previous owners were thinking, Paula is definitely your person for design.
We had an oddly shaped, barely functional kitchen with a ton of wasted space for years. We’d been wanting to renovate for a while, but after talking to 4-5 contractors, we still weren’t happy with the layout ideas we were getting. To be fair, ours was a hard space to work with.. Most people tried to make the existing layout work, while Paula completely rethought the space and came up with a design that transformed the kitchen and improved the flow, all while staying within our budget.
Build:
Marius was super thoughtful and thorough throughout the entire project. As busy working parents with a toddler, a huge plus for us was how much they handled themselves. Renovations can be incredibly stressful, but they made the whole process feel easy.
Everything was done on time and turned out beautifully. They also kept the workspace really clean and tidy! My MIL who’s an architect was surprised they managed to stay on schedule and was really impressed with the quality of their work. Paula even came back afterward to thoroughly clean the work area once everything was finished.
They say you have to choose between keeping within budget, speed, and quality, but Hive Dwelling somehow checked all the boxes for us. Plus, they were so sweet to our pets and baby! Pretty sure our cat wanted to leave with Paula..
